Aikido
Instructor Chris Green has over 15 years of experience in
the martial arts. He began his studies with Tae Kwon Do
and expanded into Aikido and Ju Jitsu, both of which he
continues to practice.
He
studied Aikido with the International Aikido Association
under Bill Sosa Sensei, who was a student of Kobayashi Sensei,
who in turn trained under Morihei
Ueshiba, the founder of Aikido. There Chris trained
with relentless effort, becoming one of the head students
at the school. He would occasionally teach and often helped
Sosa Sensei with seminars and demonstrations. After five
years with the IAA, Chris began training with David Earnest
Sensei in the arts of Ju-Jitsu and Aikido. There he spent
years developing a system of Aikido that would blend the
beauty of the art with the intensity of realistic street
confrontations. Today, Chris continues to train and develop
better ways to use Aikido as a self-defense system, and
more importantly as a way of life.
Carol
Lennox Sensei
Assistant instructor Carol Lennox, has trained in Aikido for over 12 years, and has studied the philosophy of Aikido for 17 years. She began her training with the International Aikido Association with Sensei Bill Sosa and continued her training in an independent Aikikai dojo for two years before joining Mizu Aikido.
After being introduced to Aikido in 1985 through seminars with Sensei Tom Crum, Carol developed and teaches a Conflict Resolution training for organizations and corporations that uses Aikido as a metaphor.
